| Hello folks....it's been quite a while...over 2 months. Just dropping by to tell everyone....I'M ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!! | | |
| Ah yes, time for another entry... So my birthday passed. Finally 21! Umm...so why all the excitement? What's all the buildup and talk about it for?! It's nothing special. I don't' drink, I don't hang out in bars, in fact, I think the idea of hanging out in a bar is rather dirty. I have enjoyed stretching out my birthday though. On my actual birthday, I went to Annapolis for the afternoon with Matt, only to come home to a house of 50 people, all there for MY surprise party! That was a blast. Then the following weekend, we went to Dave and Buster's on Saturday night to celebrate my birthday again, only because I didn't know my parents were planning a party, so I planned on Dave and Buster's with all my friends. Then Sunday was the trip to Hibachi, my favorite restaurant, and then today, my favorite home cooked meal, Thanksgiving dinner. I really did stretch it out this year. I think we are finally done celebrating though. How was everyone's Easter's?! I realized, after someone made a comment, that sometimes it's easy to overlook the meaning of Easter. I mean, of course we all know what it is, but it's easily forgotten in the chaos of dinners, and families getting together, and all the Easter traditions. Did anyone ever notice that EVERY Easter, we have bad weather? Someone made the comment, that with all the nice weather we've been having, God wanted us to focus our attention on something else on Easter. I think she was right. I'm thinking about joining the gym again. I stopped for a while, because I couldn't afford it, but it seems like things might work out for me to start going again, and I LOVE going, so hopefully I'll get that started up pretty soon here. Gotta get in shape before we go to Disney in June!!! Well, I guess there's not too much more to say...I'll leave you all with a few birthday pictures!

After everyone left my party, we were EXHAUSTED! BUT, he's the best!
I'll be Aunt Katie soon!!! Amy, Erin and Christopher
Yea, they all look surprised, but I can do some damage. I got them all out in one try! | | |
| ok ok...i've been away for a while, so i'm here to update. My new job at Grow and Learn is going great. A little shaky at first, but everything seems to be working out quite nicely! Not only that, but they are ok with me leaving the job for 8 weeks to work at summer camp, and then coming back in September...which is GREAT! School is going really well. I have had great teachers this semester and I've been able to bring my GPA back up significantly. I have Mrs. Pritchard for one of my classes, so that is always a good time! I've met a bunch of new people this semester and made some really fun friends. I've probably made more friends this semester then I have since I started at Wilmington. When I started, I had no interest in being friends with anyone, I just wanted to go to class and come home, but lately it's been a lot of fun! I'll be 21 on Saturday!!!! Unfortunately that's the day of Kaylyn's memorial service, but I have to be possitive in knowing that she is with the Lord, and wanting us to be happy....because that's the type of person she is! Beautiful in every way. After the service, Matt and I will be heading up to Annapolis to spend a few hours enjoying the day. Hopefully we'll catch up with Joe and Amy Heinrichs and their adorable kids while we are there. Should be a good day! Even more then that that, I'm looking forward to the following weekend where we'll be going to Dave and Buster's for a birthday celebration! If you're friends with me...COME! I want all my friends to be there. I dont' want to go and drink, I just want to go and have a great time with great friends! Connie, Ryan and Dave were up this week from Florida for spring break! I really enjoyed all my time with them...especially Connie. It's great to have someone I get along with SO well! I CAN'T wait for her and Ryan to finish school and move on up to good ole' Delaware! Well...I suppose that's about all for now...thanks for reading...leave me a comment. It will encourage me to update more often! | | |
